The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile supporters when she makes her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses several courses worldwide and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, Kai has participated in only three events this year and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."
She'll challenge some of the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, such as world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to different demographics, particularly reaching younger fans.
The young star has millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness company.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
