Tributes Pour In for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt able to share openly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate issued a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a record noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the tragedy, public personalities offered varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, offering divisive statements that were met with immediate backlash by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the detractors recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser should have intervened when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
