Tottenham Boss Frank Calls Goalkeeper Critics 'Not Genuine Fans'
The Cottagers Begin Powerfully to Defeat Tottenham and Raise Pressure on Frank
Spurs supporters who jeered keeper Vicario were informed later "those individuals can't be true Tottenham fans" by boss Frank.
Spurs conceded two scores in the first six minutes to fall 2-1 to their opponents, marking their tenth Premier League at home defeat of 2025.
However the primary talking point was Fulham's next score when Vicario gave away the ball far beyond his box.
He ventured out to deal with a long ball and took the ball towards the sideline.
But, instead of kicking it out of play, the Italy international spun and attempted to clear away, but lost his footing as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was controlled by King.
The forward passed the ball off to Wales midfielder Harry Wilson, who curled a shot into the goal from the touchline recorded at thirty-six point six metres.
Moments afterwards when the ball came to Vicario once more, some Tottenham supporters booed him.
The team were booed off at the interval, with the club 2-0 down, and once more at the final whistle.
One of those jeering episodes really angered the manager.
"It came to my attention some of our supporters apparently jeered the situation and booed following, which, in my opinion is completely unacceptable," the Danish manager stated about the supporters' reaction to his shot-stopper.
"Those individuals can't be real Spurs fans that do that. Fair enough jeering following the match, no problem, but when we are playing, we are supporting one another, we are with each other moving ahead."
Tete had handed Fulham a early advantage prior to Harry Wilson's goal – with Mohammed Kudus netting for Spurs in an improved second-half showing.
Ex- top-flight goalkeeper Hart stated that the next goal was "completely avoidable".
"I certainly appreciate the fans' disappointment," Hart continued. "I am aware the part Vicario is playing. He's a great squad member, he is a true figure in the locker room but in the end you are going to be assessed by your actions.
"He was heavily implicated in what turned out to be the winning score."
'It's Part of Football, I'm a Big Man'
Frank Defended His Keeper Vicario Following the Game
Italian international the keeper is in his 3rd campaign with Spurs.
The 29-year-old stated following the game that he had to accept the criticism.
"That goal was a error of mine, I accept responsibility for that," he commented.
"The intent was to kick the ball far and I just struck the ball in a poor manner. That made an more difficult mountain to climb."
He said being booed "is part of football".
"I'm a big man, what can I say?" he added. "The team cannot be affected by the circumstances in the crowd. The fans have the entitlement to do what they think.
"It is on the team to remain more calm, to concentrate on our own performance. The team is missing in composure and poise to reverse outcomes. Today is a poor loss and it is hard to accept."
'I Was Surprised No One Returned to the Goal Line'
In spite of the keeper's error, it was not an easy score for Harry Wilson to convert.
Actually it was the next longest-range Premier League score of the campaign – after Adams' 43.3 yard goal for the Cherries against the Black Cats, which incidentally too came on the same day.
Wilson said he was "somewhat taken aback" that he still had an empty net to target.
10 moments elapsed between Vicario exiting of his box and the midfielder striking – which was 5 moments following the clearance.
"I felt like the goalkeeper was away from the area for a long time," Wilson said.
"I was surprised not one of the back four went back to the goal line. When none of them covered the net, my interest lit up a bit.
"Udogie slipped as well, which allowed me a little extra opportunity. Then it was solely about trying to achieve the correct contact and place it towards goal. I had a good feeling, the moment it left my foot, that it was heading in."
'During in a Bad Spell, Everything Appears to Go Against You'
Jeering While We Are Still Playing Is Totally Unacceptable - the Manager
While the keeper's mistake led coverage, this was an overall poor performance for Tottenham to continue their home woes.
The match was their 10th at home defeat of the year in the Premier League, a joint team record matching nineteen ninety-four and two thousand and three.
The side still have home fixtures against Frank's old side Brentford and title holders the Reds to play prior to the end of the year.
Just a single of those victories have occurred since Frank took over from his predecessor in the summer.
"If you are down 2-0 following six minutes, there is a huge challenge to climb," stated the boss.
"When you're in a bad spell, all aspects seems to work against you too – the opening was a redirected attempt, the next is a error from the keeper.
"This result leaves us in a position where we have lost another game. Every game has a unique narrative, this game we were defeated in the early stages.
"We just need to keep working. The second half was much better and hopefully an aspect we can utilize to develop."
Spurs have been defeated in four consecutive home London derbies for the initial time in the Premier League.
And they are averaging 9.5 shots and three point two shots on target per game in the Premier League – their poorest averages on file in a single campaign (since at least 2003-04).
Ex- Fulham midfielder Murphy stated that Frank has to ride the storm.
"He must take the stick," Murphy said. "He's accepted a high profile job at a huge team with enormous expectation. There is scrutiny and responsibility that comes with that.
"The performances at their stadium have been poor and they have to get better {quickly|
