Adam Wharton A debut start with the national team. A bit sloppy in possession however his dangerous deliveries were a threat. A useful pace-controller for the coach to call upon versus defensive opponents. Cautioned for a rash foul. Six

The midfielder Deliveries on corner kicks and free kicks caused problems. Had freedom to roam on the left only to be in an offside position upon receiving in front of goal. Given a merited break after an hour. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a high position on the right while also contributed with defensive duties. Demonstrated flashes of quality but mishit an effort high. Replaced late on by Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s best chance before halftime, his shot smartly stopped by the Albanian keeper. With a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to offer an outlet down the right side but his crosses from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. The first a typical poacher’s finish while the second a superb finish with his head having drifted away away from the opposition. Now 32, he’s only getting better with the national team have every chance in the upcoming tournament with him up top. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact from the left. Had a presentable chance when set up by Bellingham however the keeper kept it out. Rashford produced a bigger influence in his place. Five
