Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down following standard protocol and all individuals on the flight, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.

He was traveling back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.

This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.

Months ago, a American military jet transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to Washington after suffering a technical issue.
