Comedian and author David Walliams lost his contract with publishing house.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, which features a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
